Student Accommodation, Chaucer Steet, Nottingham
for Riverside Developments
The development comprised two phases of construction.
Phase one consisted of a six
storey student accommodation building.
A reinforced concrete podium spans
over a car park at ground floor level.

The columns are founded on pad foundations formed on sandstone
rock.
The Superstructure consists of modular units
prefabricated in the
factory and transported to site as complete units.
Phase two of the development consisted of
a 4 storey accommodation building.
The new building was constructed over existing load bearing
masonry walls.
The load from the modules being transferred into the existing
wall foundations
via a grillage of steel beams and additional columns on pad
foundations.
